ACQUISITONS

A key role of the Company has been the identification of under performing sites and properties. With vision, design and planning these assets are  then transformed and enhanced value released.
In partnership with Countryside Properties PLC, Gilbert Commercial Properties Ltd negotiated to buy the department store in Streatham identified by John Lewis Partnership for closure. Before acquisition pre-lettings were establish with Lidl and Argos and other pre-lettings followed.

STOKE-ON-TRENT

Gilbert Commercial Properties identified a 40 acre site by the town centre in Stoke-on-Trent which had potential to transform from brown field to mixed use leisure, commercial and retail scheme of up to 110,000 sq.m. Acting in joint venture with Resolution Property PLC, Gilbert Commercial Properties acquired an option for the site, managed the design development and submitted a planning application for this exciting scheme.

FUTURE PROJECTS

The company is working with a number of clients, such as National Express, C2C, Network Rail, 4CHotels and Essex County Council, in the design development and project management to bring forward new commercial and housing schemes.    

The current projects on which Gilbert Commercial Properties is work include city centre housing, commercial and hotel which has the potential to create almost 2,000 new homes, 350 hotel bedrooms and nearly 800,000 sq ft of office and retail space.

Funding partners and finance is available to acquire new sites, large and small, to build on the success of the past, present and future of Gilbert Commercial Properties.
