From a tired 1950s block of bed sit studio Gilbert Commercial Properties managed on behalf of Eastleaf Ltd and Khattar Holdings the transformation into 2 high value four storey town houses and eight contemporary apartments.    The management systems were put in place, design team appointed, detailed town planning consent obtained and the building was erected in work packages. Total Value of £25m.

On behalf of joint venture partners GWiz Ltd and CSPS Ltd Gilbert Commercial Properties Ltd identified, appointed the design team, obtained town planning, arranged funding, let the building contract, established pre-letings and forward sale of the retail and sold the 8 apartments. Total Value of £5m

A joint venture was formed with CSPS Ltd was created to undertake the refurbishment and redevelopment of this former office building and poorly arranged ground and basement shops. Consent was granted for 52 apartments, 20 of which were affordable along with new improved retail floorspace on ground and basement. The private residential apartments were designed to be accessed from a new mews façade on a cobbled street.

Acting on behalf of Transport for London, Gilbert Commercial Properties Ltd managed the design development working closely with the architectural firm EPR, property adviser DTZ and London Busses Ltd. The brief was to create a project which would respect and enhance the operational bus station whilst creating a vibrant commercial entity. Liaising closely with operators, structural engineers, transport consultants the council’s town planning department the result was a new proposed integrated bus/rail facility and 25,000 sq m of office space.


Gilbert Commercial Properties Ltd negotiated to acquire a large sports store in the town centre and an adjoining surgery.   Town planning consent was obtained to redevelop the premises into 19 apartments, two new shops and a new surgery.
